The Cedars-Sinai Advanced Health Sciences Pavilion facility houses clinical research, medical and procedural areas, an imaging center, a conference center and other special purpose environments. It has been designed and built to achieve a LEED® Gold Certification.  This facility consists of an 11-story, 820,000sq-ft facility with three parking levels below grade, one plaza level floor at street level with a training surgery area, two more levels of parking above the street, then eight levels of tower plus roof and penthouse areas. Two merged projects into one GMP contract,  one for core and shell and the other for a T.I. build out. The tower is an out-patient facility combined with research. All of the floors except for the parking levels have main core bathrooms.

The tower is being fed by risers. There are multiple waste & vent risers and one core riser for waters and med gases. The 3rd floor is exam rooms and office space. The 4th floor is being shelled for future expansion. The 5th floor is the surgical floor with 10 surgical suites, pre-op areas, staff lockers and other support areas. The 6th floor is mostly exam rooms, pre-op, and pacu’s. The 7th floor is shelled space for future lab areas. The 8th & 9th floors are both research labs. The roof has HVAC equipment plus penthouse rooms for RO water, lab, medical compressors and lab/medical vacuum pumps. The B3 parking level is the bottom of the structure and houses the domestic water booster pump, a sewage ejector pit and a storm drain sump pit. The B2 level has the domestic heat exchangers and circ pumps. The B1 level has two grease interceptors and an acid neutralization tank.   The N20, C02 & N2 tank farms and switchover manifolds are on the Plaza level one.
