Project consisted of the construction of a data center facility by retrofitting an existing building for use as a Colo data center. The addition to the south of the building adds approximately 45,000 sq ft which will comprise a central utility building. Additions to the west include a mechanical room, shipping/receiving docks, and storage. Exterior equipment include a chiller plant, cooling tower make-up water tanks, and a fuel oil system.

Murray Company provided and installed the mechanical piping and plumbing systems to include domestic water, sanitary waste and vent, RO piping, heating hot water, chilled water, fuel oil piping and condenser water piping.

The chellenges presented were in the delivery of the owner-furnished equipment not arriving on the project until near the end of completion and not arriving in the condition that was anticipated. There was also a long delay in obtaining construction permits from the City of El Segundo which delayed the start of the project.
