ftp loginThe U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) has acknowledged the importance of engineered mechanical and plumbing systems in Green Building design by dedicating a significant percentage of LEED Certification points for new construction to plumbing and piping systems.
In response to these facts, Murray Company has chosen to position itself with unique design and construction abilities in the arena of sustainable buildings. We have in-house team members who are LEED-Accredited Professionals, available to lend expertise in sustainable design to any project.
In recent years, many of Murray Company’s projects have included elements of Green design. Storm water clarifiers, reclaimed water systems, water-saving fixtures, waste water treatment, recycled content, and electronic controls are among the many methods we have implemented in recent projects to satisfy Sustainable program requirements.
From design to construction, our LEED Accredited Professionals are prepared to assist with project checklists, letter templates, credit interpretation rulings, as well as fundamental and enhanced Commissioning requirements. For projects seeking LEED Certification, we have a standardized document tracking procedure in place for achieving points in the categories of Materials and Resources and Energy and Atmosphere credits.
Our commitment to sustainable design is recognized in the projects we have been involved in, specifically the Toyota South Campus, RAND, Santa Monica Library (LEED – Platinum), LA Live!, and California Endowment.
