Project Description: A new amusement park addition replaces the Gibson Amphitheater and the Adventures of Curious George Water Play area. The attraction spans over 6-acres of the park. The new themed land will include the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey motion-based simulator ride inside a replica of the Hogwarts castle, which is said to be one of the best rides in the amusement industry.

Murray Company’s scope of work includes the reroute of existing site utilities to prep the area for the construction of the attraction. Work included; sanitary sewer rerouting, domestic reclaim and fire rerouting, electrical rerouting, and installation of storm drain.

Universal Studios Hollywood was still open for visitor’s during construction, so our team performed all work after park hours. At the end of the night shift, work had to be restored daily to prevent park attendee’s from injury.
