Project Description: Dedicated to Ray R. Irani, this R&D is home to groundbreaking research in molecular and computational biology. This five-story, 160,000-sf facility includes a basement level which houses dedicated vivarium laboratory space of 38,000-sf, mechanical rooms and a backup emergency generator. First through 4th floors include a lecture hall, additional laboratories and a research & development facilities, complete with lab benches and animal holding rooms.

Murray Company was contracted as the design-assist plumbing and process contractor to perform the plumbing systems, compressed air, fuel oil, specialty gas piping, lab waste and vent, lab vacuum, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, soft water, tempered water, RO water, subsoil drainage, animal watering system and equipment procurement associated with these systems.
