A new hospital to replace Anaheim Medical Center is leading a renaissance of its light-industrial neighborhood. With a master plan inwardly focused upon a “healing garden,” the hospital crystallizes a destination point that links the property to future retail and residential developments and to the Anaheim Canyon Metro-Link station. The phased project will initially provide a 262-bed template hospital that houses operating rooms, labor and delivery rooms, and Emergency Department bays. Also included is a medical office building, hospital support building, a central utility plant and parking structure. Future phases will provide additional beds, ancillary support facilities, medical and administrative offices, and additional parking.
